Fundación Kiñewen se une a la Red Global "1% for the Planet"

¿Qué es "1% for the Planet"?

May the Earth's energy educate future generations

Karla Wheelock, the renowned Mexican mountaineer, writer, and speaker, is recognized for being the first Latin American woman to summit Mount Everest via its north face in 1999 and for completing the Seven Summits challenge, climbing the highest mountains on each continent. Through the Karla Wheelock Foundation, she promotes leadership, teamwork, and environmental education.

In 2024, expanding its commitment to education and conservation, the foundation forged an alliance with the Kiñewen Elemental Natura Foundation, joining forces to promote a connection with nature and foster environmental education, benefiting children in highly vulnerable social situations. Thanks to this collaboration, the Kiñewen Elemental Natura Foundation has acquired 10 tents and 12 sleeping bags, essential equipment for jointly organizing environmental camps that allow young people to experience expeditions and develop leadership skills in natural environments.
